Scarfade works best if used shortly after the area of trauma to the skin is healed. That said many users have reported positive results on scars up to 2 years old or slightly older. Literature uses the language that it will be effective on scars up to two years old because limited results would be expected on scars any older than that. It certainly doesn’t hurt to try it on older scars. It may or may not help but no harm will be done.
